87-year-old stroke patient relearns his wife’s favorite song just in time for their anniversary

For the past 62 years, Joe Korst has celebrated his wedding anniversary by performing his wife Sharon’s favorite song. Regretfully, the 87-year-old suffered two terrible strokes in the past year, which prevented him from remembering a single word of Kenny Rogers’ “All That You Can Be.”

Unfazed, the loyal husband put in extra effort during therapy in the months before their 63rd wedding anniversary. He wanted to show his wife how much he loved her, therefore he was going to force his brain to conform and recall every word!
