18-Year-Old Marissa DiNapoli Found Dead Under Bridge — Boyfriend Named Person of Interest in Chilling Case

What began as a hopeful search for a missing 18-year-old girl has now turned into a devastating homicide investigation. Marissa DiNapoli, a vibrant young woman from California, was reported missing on June 29, 2025—just one day after texting her family that she’d be staying with a friend.
Four days later, her body was discovered under a bridge near Anderson Lake County Park, just miles from where she was last seen.
But the story doesn’t end there — and police now believe someone close to her may hold the answers.
Last Known Moments: A Troubling Final Text and Surveillance Footage
Marissa’s last message came at 9:16 p.m. on June 28, assuring her family she’d be home the next day. When she didn’t return or respond, alarm bells rang.
Morgan Hill Police Department
Surveillance footage later showed Marissa leaving a house with her 21-year-old boyfriend, Martin Mendoza, on June 29 — but only Mendoza came back with her car. In the video, he is reportedly heard saying:
“Why would you text your ex?”
“They left together. He returned without her,”
said Marissa’s sister, Monice Ramirez.
“That was the last time anyone saw her alive.”
A Chilling Discovery in a Familiar Place
After a multi-agency search, authorities found a badly decomposed body under a bridge in a remote area — a location friends say Mendoza once visited with Marissa. Due to the condition of the remains, identification wasn’t immediate.
The next day, confirmation came: the body was Marissa’s.
Family and Community Devastated
In an emotional Facebook statement, Morgan Hill Police confirmed the heartbreaking news:
“This is not the outcome any of us wanted… Marissa had a bright future ahead of her. We are heartbroken.”
Marissa’s family also released a statement asking for privacy while thanking the public for their support. Her stepmother later wrote a powerful post expressing both grief and fury:
“She was only 18… My only hope now is that Marissa receives the justice she deserves.
We WILL find you, Martin Mendoza.”
Warning Signs and a Worrying Past
According to friends, Marissa had feared for her life.
“She told me herself that Martin would kill her. That he was obsessed,”
said best friend Jaslyn Gutierrez.
Police now say Mendoza has refused to cooperate with the investigation since day one.
Despite repeated attempts to reach him through family and phone calls, he remains silent — and missing.

Mendoza is now considered a person of interest. Authorities believe he may be driving a white Toyota Camry with license plate CW87W00 or 9PTM351.
“If Martin Mendoza is reading this — contact us.
We need answers. Marissa’s family deserves the truth,”
said MHPD Captain Mario Rodriguez.
